My system is a Toshiba laptop (Tecra M1, 1 GB RAM), Win XP SP2. Major memory
leak, detected by the poolmon tool. The tag "Thre" is the culprit. Several
dozen *.sys files (in the drivers directory) contain this tag. Anybody know
how to uniquely identify which software is realy behind the memory leak?
ricst (at) usa (dot) net. Many thanks!

Hi Dave.

Disregard anything and everything that comes from Andrew E. His is a
brain-dead bozo who persists in posting misinformation on these
newsgroups.

Now to your original problem.

Have you tried using Task Manager to identify the culprit for your
memory leak?

Bring up Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete) and go to the Processes tab.
If the "Mem Usage" column is not being displayed, add it by using View
- Select Columns.
Click twice on the Mem Usage column to sort the list into descending
order based on memory usage. The processes that are leaking memory
should be working their way up the list as their memory usage
increases.

Good luck

Thanks Ron, the problem is Flight sim 9. After about 30 min. I'll get an OOM
error. I've just found two empty entries with the same number in the scenery
config file. I'm just checking to see if that's the problem.
