Memory Could not be read

My laptop whixh is running XP, is giving the following error when I
close several applications "The instruction 0x1c001516 referenced
memory at 0x00cd0010 - The memory could not be read"
Does anyone know what could be causing this error ? I have tried
swapping out memory, and even reconfiguring virtual memory, but
neither helped. Again, it only comes up when closing certain
programs. Any suggestions as to how I can solve this, or perhaps
point me in the right direction ? Thanks.

What applications are you getting the errors with and what are you doing
when they happen?

The rpograms that cause it are varied. But even programs like the
proformance monitor, or running the services plugin will case the
message when you exit the program. I just hit ok on the error
message, and the program finishes closing w/o any further actions
needed. it doesn't seem to crash anything, its just very annoying on
closing programs. thanks

i think this occurs when u open up many applications and
frequently using your computer, always try switch off your
pc anytime u finish working with it,because whenever u
open up an application,it takes up some memories and it
never brings back all the memory taken even when u close
the applications,so the only way to relax and gain all
your memory is to put off you pc at intervals, may be
close of work
