memory could not be read errors in IE6

hi all,

i am receiving error message on pc giving following error

IEXPLORE.EXE - Application Error
The instruction at "0x6c371c65" referenced memory at
0x00000000". The memory could not be "read"
Click on OK to terminate the program

All PCs are running Windows xp2 I've tried
installing all windows updates, I've checked all security
settings. I already know that formatting the PCs and re-
installing everything will fix it, but I would rather not
if there is a fix. This does not happen on all web pages,
actually it is only happening on one intranet page that I
know of.

If anyone has seen this before any help would be
appreciated

thanks and regards.

1... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies
by doing this:

Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.

2... You need to be sure your system is clean from malwares and Viruses by
scanning for them.
