Memory Card Reader

Dave

My wife is a professional organist. One of the organs she plays, a
relatively new Rodgers uses a 16meg memory chip to store settings.
Interesting that a relatively new organ not only uses a 16meg chip, it will
NOT uses a larger one. In fact, eBay is the only source for them that we
know of.

Anyway, the question has come up as to whether a chip/card reader (if we can
even find one) would help. The real question is what would a card reader
display? Is it going to display intelligence that an organist would
understand, or is it going to be a bunch of binary 00000001001010 type
numbers?

As you can see we are confused. Any help or suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.

Thx

What exactly are you trying to do ?

A card reader will only enable you to read what is stored on the card in
question, on a PC. You will then need dedicated software to read the info
stored on the card.

Try going to their website see what you can find there. Perhaps they have
something available. Y

ou could open the file in Notepad or similar but to be honest unlerss you
have dedicated software there is no way you'll be able to "see" whats on the
card in a legible form.

My point of view is why waste money unles there is software available froom
Rodgers.

Cheers,

Thank you Jerry -
We we're sure whether dedicated software was required, and I guess that is
what you are saying. As we understand it Rodgers is madly working on
alternative storage devices, memory sticks, etc., but we have a serious
problem in the meantime.

We are in touch with Rodgers, but so far - nothing.

Thank you for your reply, it is very helpful to know for sure where we
stand.
