Sambo.

Hello,
I am using Roxio Easy CD creator to burn CDs but when
trying to burn a CD I get the following error message:
"The instuction at "0x03f9b181" uses the
address "0x04002130". The memory cannot be read."
Can someone help me with this problem please and I thank
you very much in advance.

Check at the www.roxio.com site to see if there is an update to your
version. This will either be a program error, or trouble with RAM (but
that would be expected to give trouble in other programs too)

I get this on a variety of programmes, both Roxio / nero and now icq is the
latest to fall pray of this bug.....

i cannot find help to solve it anywhere.....

A variety of programs strongly suggests defective RAM. Go to
www.memtest86.com download the free tester and run it to make a boot
floppy. Boot that and let it run for several hours

I get this also, but on a number of applications. Mostly ccApp.exe (which I
think is part of Norton Systemworks 2004).

However, it seems to only happen when I am shutting down my PC.

This started after I installed XP SP2.

I have run memtest86 & memtest86+ with no errors. I used the extended tests
for 23 passes the last time I ran one of them. I have tried other memory from
another PC which runs Win2000, without a problem, and I get the same errors.

I have repeatedly run AdAware, Search & Destroy, Norton AntiVirus, searching
for bad guys, but I find none. I am behind a router firewall, and I run Zone
Alarm 5 as well.

Personally I think it is another SP2 issue, but have no real evidence of it.
