"Memory cannot be read" error

Pivert

Hi,

I repeatedly get error messages satting ( translated from french)
"Instruction 0x77454395 uses memory address 0x0.....0 ( all 0). memory
cannot be read. Click Ok to terminate program or cancel to debug"

The program that terminates is explorer.exe itself

Any clue ?

Asus P3C-800 Deluxe - 1Gb RAM ( 2 512Mb rows) - PIV 2.8GHz FSB 800 - not
overclocked at all
WinXP Pro SP1a

Thanks for infos !
This problem is new, and happens more and more frequently.

I got this - it said memory cannot be "read". I ran
Stinger and it killed a bug. Problem stopped after that.

Nothing found with Stinger, Norton, Tauscan, Spy-Sweeper, SpyBot Search &
Delete.
Problem still there

By any chance did you use spybot search and destroys immunize function?
I was haveing a similier problem and traced it back to spybot. I still use
it, but not the immunize feature and have not had a problem since.

I should suspect trouble with the RAM. Especially if it is in more than
one module, which may be inadequately matched - windows is very fussy on
that. A good memory test program is free from
www,memtest86.com
It makes a bootable floppy; boot that and let it run overnight

Will try it.
Have 2 modules that are exactly same ones ( same brand / type /size / speed
..... bought together)
Thanks !
