Memory Access Violation in module kernal32

Yesterday 08/01/04 I received a Microsoft Email headed MS Public Assistance with a patch Q464161.Exe under "Newest Internet Critical Upgrade" covering "January 2004 Culmative Patch" to MS Internet Explorer, Outlook and Outlook Express with instructions to install soonest. This I did yesterday and since instalation every time I start my PC on the opening desktop I have a message which states I have a MEMORY ACCESS VIOLATION IN MODULE KERNAL 32 with differing numbered points at each time of startup - can anyone advise of "how" to rectify this matter??

Hi Malcolm,

The emails which you have received are Viruses [Sven or Gibe Virus]. And your machine has contracted the Virus as you have installed them.

Microsoft *NEVER* distributes software via email. The mail which you received is not from Microsoft, though the from address says so.

Please go through: Microsoft Policies on Software Distribution:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/security/policy/swdist.asp

NOTE: If you receive an e-mail that claims to contain software from Microsoft, do not run the attachment. The safest course of action is to delete the mail altogether. If you would like to take additional action, report the e-mail to the sender's Internet Service Provider. Most ISPs provide an "abuse" userid for this purpose.
