MemoriesOnTV - queries re Text

Just bought this program and it looks good. I'm using it to make an
SVCD on CD-R or CD-RW to show photos with accompanying MP3 tracks on
my TV's DVD player. Are there any other user here, who might be able
to answer a few basic questions please?

1. In the Add Text dialog, using Background colour doesn't seem to
work as I expect. If a line of text is positioned in the photo, there
*is* no background. I expected to see a rectangle behind the text, as
you see with movie subtitles (say black text on a white background).
Is that not possible?

2. The Alignment control doesn't appear to do anything. After choosing
Centre or Right, in a Preview the text is still always left aligned.

Saddened to learn of Alex's untimely death. Like thousands of others,
I only knew him via the net, but I was sure I would like him in person
too.

My condolences to you and the other MVPs on the loss of such a valued
colleague.
