Memo problem

I have a memo field in a table.
When I enter several paragraphs of text into the memo (in a form) then view
the table in a datasheet view, only part of the text appears in the memo
field while in datasheet view mode.
why is that?
This is the main reason I have trouble exporting (outputing via the macro
function) this memo data into a spreadsheet..... as only part of the text
appears in the cell of the excel sheet.

I can't recall, but doesn't Excel limit a cell to 255 characters? If
that is your planed target, why use a memo field? Try a text field.
