MediaPlayer10 does not play video clip

I installed Windows XP Professional and after that MediaPlayer10

I have problems to play a video clip which can be seen at the following
web page :

www.wind-n-watersports.com/WindRider%2017.htm

Scroll down to video clips ( cable or dsl ),play one of the three clips by
double clicking.

My MediaPlayer10 opens the clip and plays it but the colors are totally
disturbed.I get large patches of green, yellow, blue all over the screen.
The object ( in this case a sailboat ) can hardly be seen and those color
patches change positions.

Before I ran them with W98SE and had no problem.

What could the problem be ? Do I need some plug ins ? Are my
settings wrong somewhere ?

I would appreciate if you could run the video and let me know if it
runs ok on your computer, provided you use XP.

Thanks

While the clip is playing, click File, Properties
The video codec should be "Windows Media Video V7"
Yours may be corrupt. Download WMP codecs here:

Your "Windows Media Video V7 " codec may be corrupt. Update your Windows Media Video 9 VCM

The video codec is indeed Windows Media Video V7. I then installed
the codec package but it makes no difference.
