Media Player on multiple monitors

I have a old computer and some old monitors lying running. So what I want to
do is hook them all up and stretch or play movies across all of them (one
large movie on all the monitors). So I got it all setup. I displayed my
desktop across the monitors. I start to play a movie and only one monitor
will display it at a time. I can stretch media player across the other
screens, however only the monitor with the most movie on it will play. I can
get other programs to stretch across and work fine as I want. I also tried
this on my 9600xt just to see if a newer card would work better, and it does
the same thing. I tried doing as another post and go into advance turn on
high quality mode to get "video overlay" to work. This didn't work. So now
I am at a loss of what to do next. I've tried googling video overlay to see
what I could get but not much is out there. I understand that on an old
computer this might be a problem, but a 9600xt is plenty new enough. It has
brand new drivers installed as well. Any suggestions?

I thought of something when I was writting. I thought you needed video
overlay on to get it to work. It is exactly the opposite. I remove video
overlay from the media play by going into
tools-->options-->performance--->advanced---> then unchecked use video mixing
renderer. Hope this helps someone else.

Indeed! I was about to reply to you that you cant...lol
However I had seen this in a picture of a multimonitor setup...
and I didnt understand how they did it since I could not reproduce it!

I tried the tip you gave and it worked! Not that i will use it, but its good
to know!
