My media player is not working in Windows Vista Business edition. When i make
another account it works just fine. but when i'm with my administrator
account i keep getting this error.

I've tried to unistall it but with no luck as media player is part of the
O.S.

any help on this ???

Do you get the chance to send up a crash report? Is there any data in the
Problem Reports and Solutions center for this error?

btw.. i found a post of how to recover the installation. did that and
worked, but then i had problems with Microsoft Sync has stopped working and
not just once. every time i was plugging something on my pc. and finally 2
days ago media player stopped working again; . . any ideas?

How did you recover this?

Did you install SatelliteTVforPC on this system? The crash information you
listed seems to indicate that you may have, as it indicated the presence of
a version 10 wmp.dll on the system.

How is WMP currently not working?

yes i did install that but my media player was working and after that program
installation.

unfortunately now i'm without media player 11 ;

can you help on this?? shall i remove that file ???

thanks\

Unfortunately, removing that file won't fix the damage done by installing a
version 10 file on the system.

http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#sattv
covers how to fix this in full. The short-short of it is that you need to
run:
regsvr32 wmp.dll
from an Administrator cmd.exe prompt, and reset some registry keys that the
version 10 dll resets. =\

Speaking for myself only.
See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
