Media Center Edition 2005 - 2002

Is the media Center Edition 2002 with Service Pack 2 the same as the Media
center Edition 2005? Thanks for your responses as I need to know if I have
been taken.
 
Media Center 2005 is built on top of XP Professional, and includes Service Pack 2. In System Properties, it will show

System:
Microsoft Windows XP
Media Center Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

To get the actual version of Media Center, open the Media Center interface and go to Settings, General, About Media Center, Software Version.
