I can't change the unit of measurements in Word 2003 eventhough I made the
change in Options/General tab. I also tried restarting the computer after
the change but it still didn't work. Please help!

I want to change the measurement units to inches permanently. Not thru' tools, options, general etc. etc. every time. Once the doc. is opened it should show using (measurement units) inches. Pls suggest accordinlgy.

All Options settings are persistent unless the Registry is corrupted or is
being overwritten at startup. See

Suzanne,

My "measurement units" setting in Word 2003 is NOT persistent. Though I
keep setting it to inches and it will stay that way while I'm working on the
current document, sooner or later I look up when I'm working in another
document and it has changed back to points.

How can I set the default measurement units to inches and have it "stick".

BTW, the link you provided in your previous response no longer seems to be
active.

Thanks,

Tony
