I'm updating from WindowsME to WindowsXP. I currently have
internet access via cable modem, and I'm using ZoneAlarm
as a firewall. Can I perform the upgrade with the firewall
active, or must I exit ZoneAlarm before starting the
upgrade?

Hi Ken,

As WinXP has its own firewall, I would disable ZA first to avoid conflicts.

You will want to perform the upgrade with all running processes, including
ZA, closed and being physically disconnected from the internet.
