me.requery

I use me.requery to refresh my main form, but it does not work somtimes.
It looks that it does not work if I update a record.
If I close and re run the app then me.requery works fine for me.
I use me.requry on dropdown.afterupdate event to refresh my main form,
because I use dropdown box to set main form filter.

Where I am missing here?
Any hints or suggestions would be great appreciated,

Use Me.Refresh instead.
