MDE file to use in Access 2003

SorryTo Ask

I have made a MDE file in Access 2000 and sent it off for someone else to
use. They have Access 2003 and cant seem to open it. How can I resolve this?

John,

Normally I would expect an Access 2000 MDE to run fine in Access 2003.
What specifically is happening? Error message?

If they have WinXP with SP2 on it Windows might have "blocked" it as a
potentially unsafe file. Have them right-click and look at the properties. If
there is an [Unblock] button in the lower right of the property sheet they need
to press that.

I can confirm that this happens as I asked my son to test out an MDE on his
Access 2003 (WinXP) system that I developed on my Access 2000 (Win98SE)
system. After he got around this "block" the application worked fine. Bob
