mde file error

MS Access 2003 will not allow me to make an mde file of my mdb database.
The error says the database has too many objects but it is a very small
database with only a handfull of objects. This error is only now appearing
it did not take place before and I have made only minor changes to queries.

Does anyone know what's causing this? The database does not seem to be
corrupt.

You probably have some corruption. I would import all into a new database.
That should fix it.

And make sure your code compiles. You can't make an MDE if the code won't
compile.
