I tried to hot sync my Palm to Outlook 2003. I got all of my calendar but
did not get any contacts. I found this file address.mdb.bak file size 704.
Can I change this file to address.mdb and see if it will open in Access so I
can see if my addresses are there? The contacts in Outlook say Unnamed and
that's it. I had also done a upgrade on the Palm Software so I lost all of
my data that was in the older version. Any help would be appreciated. Thank
you

Sync questions are not Outlook questions. Palm is responsible for providing
an answer.

Thank you for your reply. I have tried to contact them but no response. I
did find that the file has no data in it so I guess I have permantely lost my
contacts.

What you always can do is, make a copy of whatever file you're interested
in, then look into one of the files. If anything goes corrupt you have a
backup.

Thank you, that's exactly what I did and the file opens in Access but there
is no data.

I know this is an old question, but I was looking for some information related to an old palm address database. It's amazing to see how arrogant Microsoft MVPs are. It's like they fly around looking for questions they can be not-helpful on. Do you know how many times I've see this arrogant non-answer from Microsoft MVPs today looking for this information? So many times, it's funny. I don't think they even realize that this isn't acceptable behavior.

Russ, I'm an MVP, too. And you, my friend, are a disgrace. The person is asking if he can open the file in Access. Don't try so hard to avoid questions you can't answer.
