MCI Error in Powerpoint 2003

I currently have powerpoint 2003 and I had a large project that I was working
on. I went out and bout myself an IPOD and installed the programs, Itunes
and Quicktime, so that I could use my Ipod. I then went back in to work on
my slideshow and not when I try to play it, it will not play the audio. I
get an error that says that the mci is not compatible and the audio will not
play like it played before. I can not figure out how to fix the problem and
was hoping someone here could help. Thanks

Download and reinstall the Windows Media Player. While it is not used
directly in PowerPoint it should reset you machines configuration, codecs,
file associations, etc.

Currently I have windows media player 11, and I have tried to uninstall it so
I could re-install. When I uninstall WMP 11 a screen comes up that asks if I
want to continue and if I continue it will rollback to the previous WMP which
should be WMP 10. So I click ok and then it says it is complete. When I
check it is still the same version of WMP and my powerpoint still does not
work.

After doing this, does it then do a full install of WMP 11? What version of
windows is it?

It does not seem to do a full install of WMP 11 after I do this and I am
running windows media center 2002. I also tried to do a system restore back
to the date that I put the WMP 11 on and the computer states that it can not
restore because nothing has been changed. I am really out of ideas. What I
would really like to do is get rid of WMP 11 and go back to WMP 10 because it
seemed so much better.
