Maxtor PowerMax "Burn In" Test - Destructive?

Can anyone tell me if the "Burn In" test
offered by Maxtor's PowerMax utility for their
hard drives is read only, or will affect existing
data on the hard drive in any way?

Read only, don't worry.
It's a complete test that does several passes.
