Maxthon and Gecko engine

After I install Mozilla ActiveX Control and set Maxthon to use Gecko engine,
I can't enter anything in text fileds, there is no text cursor in Google. Is
there a solution to this problem? Maxthon is the latest version, Mozilla
Control 1.7.1

Hi Fran,

There are a couple of huge threads on the Maxthon site. The bottom line is
that Gecko support is equivalent to being in the Alpha stage of development
right now. Lots of things don't work, and Bloodchien knows it. I hope he
works on it soon, but there are lots of other bugs to swat in Maxthon right
now.
