We have a new PC for video compositing that will support 8
gig of ram on the motherboard. What is the maximum ammount
of ram that Windows XP pro will safely support? Is this
constrained by the maximum page file size allowed? If yes,
what is the max pagefile support in Win XP Pro?

Windows XP will support up to 4GB physical RAM.
