I would like to know the maximum number of undos for Word.
I teach various applications and students sometime want to
know how many undos they have.
Excel-16
PowerPoint 3-150
Publisher - 20 I think
Word ?????? not sure
Is there a limit on Word or not?
A final answer to this question would be greatly
appreciated!
Thanks!
Juggler

The number of Undos is limited only by RAM and HD space, I think. Generally
speaking, unless you're running macros, it's more than you're likely ever to
need. If you're running Word on an underpowered system, you may find it
improves performance to either close and reopen the document from time to
time or do something else that clears the Undo stack, such as Protecting and
Unprotecting the document. Macros often need to clear the Undo stack to run
effectively.

Hi Juggler,

I agree with Suzanne. Unless someone is working with Word
6.0 <g> The limit there was 100, as I recall. (just a bit of
trivia for the students)
