I have a modem V.90 connected to W2k server with RAS service.
When I try to dial to the server from my PC (using modem V90 as well), I
never reach the speed of 56Kps.

Is that because V90 standard (56kps) need a modem at one end is digital
modem? is that right?

I never reach to 56kps speed with that config, right?

Thanks
Chi

That is correct. You can only get 56k download speed from a digital
interface. Analog modem to modem has a top of 33.6 .

Thank you very much Bill.
