Maximize Vista windows

Greeting from "old" Europe !
Some shortcuts on the desktop open the possibility to maximize their
windows.
Some others like "my computer" do not offer tis possibility which has to be
done manually.
Is there a tweak somewhere which allow to overcome this restricion?

If you create a shortcut to "Computer" (Its not "My Computer") you can set
it to run maximized. Then when you run the shortcut, it will start in a
maximized window.
The F11 key maximizes a window as well.
