Maximised form does not stay maximised

The user interface for my database opens forms from a menubar. I want to
have a form I can use as a backgound when other forms are not open. I
created a blank form and used an on load event to maximise it. If I open
another form on top, that is maximised as well (which is OK) but when I
close the second form the background form returns to a standard size.

Any ideas?

You might be better off getting rid of the background form
and using http://www.lebans.com/changemdibackground.htm
instead.
