Max value of Long Int

Don't have my reference book with me and I can't beleive how hard it is to
find in the help but does anyone know the max value of a long integer. Can't
remember if it's around 4.29 billion or 2.?? billion. Thought it was
(256*4)-1.

From the Windows Calculator, advanced mode; entered 7FFFFFFF in Hex
mode and switced to Decimal.

The 4.29 billion is the total number of long integers (positive and
negative) that are available, say for Autonumbers.

Thank you. Just noticed I wrote this out wrong: >(256*4)-1, ment to write
(256^4)-1 which gives the 4.29 billion. forgot to devide by 2 before
subtraciting 1 - (256^4)/2 -1 which gives 2147483647 also.
