Max temp of CPU on P4P800?

- What would be the max. temp of a PIV 2800 on a P4P800?
-> 100%CPU usage gives me 53 degrees celsius.
- And what would be the max. temp of the moderboard itself?
-> 100%CPU usage gives me 40 degrees celcius.

Hi Bert.

I have a P4 2.6C on a P4P800 clocked at 3.2GHz. It is being cooled by
a Zalman CNPS7000A-AlCu cooler with the fan running at 1800 rpm. It is
also installed in an Antec Sonata case. Anyway at 100%CPU usage, CPU
temps top up at 52c and the motherboard at 40c.

I think your temps are in line.

ahh

I got a P4 2.8C on a P4P800-VM and all I made out from my 15 minute research
into this question was that intel gave specs for the min and max accepted
range for operating temp of the chip. I remember it was 5 C - 75 C. So I
would guess as long as you don't go above 75 Celcius then your within
accepted operating range but of course having it much lower between the
30-50 C range is prefered and best but I got the impression they don't give
temps for what would be best.

Its up to you! :)
