Max Memory and Boot.ini

I upgraded my computer to 4GB of RAM. In BIOS the computer recognizes all 4
sticks of RAM. In Windows XP Home Edition SP2 it only reads 2.85 GB. I have
looked in the Boot.ini section using MSCONFIG. These are the commands.
[boot loader]
timeout=20
default = multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINNT

Is there a command line I need to add so Windows recognizes a 4GBs ?
The options in "System Configuration Utility" in the boot.ini section are
pale and I can't select any options. Thanks in advance for the help
Joe
PS. I have seperate video & sound cards
