Matching records for importing to Access

I have data in Excel where the data in one of the fields is the same as the
primary key in Access. The other field in Excel is new data that needs to be
inserted in Access to match up with the primary key. Is it possible to do
this by importing or do I need to do a data entry function? When I try to
import I get an error that says that the primary key already exists in Access.

Hi Andy,

Use a linked table to access the Excel data. Then create an update query
that joins the two tables on the common primary key and updates the
Access table with the new data.
