Matching a column of new data to existing larger data set.

I have an existing master column of part numbers. Monthly, I will bring in a
smaller column of part numbers which are a subset of the existing larger
column. Can I highlight the new part numbers, then select an excel function
that will match the new part numbers to the existing part numbers or is there
another method? Thank you.
 
You can use the MATCH function - described in Excel Help. Not sure
what else you want to do, but there may be more appropriate functions
to use.
