Master for 2 column text

Hello,

I'd am using MS PPT 2000.
I'd like to use the standard master for my pages that have a single list of
bullets (the bulleted list) but use a different master for my slides that
have two bulleted columns (2 column text.). I am just using smaller fonts on
my slides that use the two column text layout.

Thanks in advance.

That Slide layout is already built into powerPoint. On the desired slide,
right-click an empty space on the slide and select "Slide Layout". Select
the image that has the Title and two text boxes (it is called "Title and
two-column text"). This feature is also under the "Format" menu.

Bart, I think you need to jump one version to get what you want. To get a
different format for a two-column list, even a format change as modest as a
smaller font size, you will need to be able to create two separate masters.
And multiple master capability was introduced in PPT 02...

Thanks .... I'll be more clear ...I do know how to do what you suggested. I
want to be able to change the characteristics of that 2 column master.
Specifically, I want to modify the font size. When I select "view" "master"
it looks like I can only modify the bulleted list. I suppose the changes I
make in that bulleted list will translate to the 2 column text layout.
However, I'd like to preserve the current format of the bulletted list and
have a unique format for the 2 column text list.

Thanks for the clarification. Appreciated.

But before you give up, visit www.echosvoice.com and check out her treatise
on multiple masters in a single presentation. You need PPT 2002 or higher
to do it ... really ... but there are a few ways of faking it in earlier
versions.
