Master Browser problem?

P

Per Hagstrom

I have a server that is outside my DMZ Domain, but is still a member of the
domain. Have a hole poked through the firewall specifically for this one
server.
When I first poked the hole and joined the domain from this outside server,
I could from the DC inside the DMZ, see the outside server in My Network
Places. Was able to "browse" to the server from within the DMZ.
Now this server is gone from My Network Places, and I suspect that the
outside server picked up a different Master Browser or something? (I can
still ping by name and IP without any problems. DNS seems to work just
fine.)

If this could be the problem, what could I do to force this server to use
the DC inside the DMZ as the Master Browser?
Or what else could cause this problem?

Thanks!

Because the Server outside the DMZ is in it's own subnet, it picked another
server in it's own subnet to be it's Master Browser.
Disabled Master Browser on the "faulty" server (following the instructions
from Q136712), and then my server picked up the right server, the DC in the
DMZ.
And now I can browse to it through My Network Places.
..
..
2 hours passed...
..
..
Now it's gone again!!! Argh!!!
I hate Master Browser stuff...! It is soooo un-controllable and there is not
much info about it, and no easy way to set anything.. !
Anyone could help me out getting these Master Browser settings right??!

Thanks!
