Markup/Cost formula help...

Ok, I think this is the most ridiculous scenario. I am working on a project that deals with low dollar product that will be selling at a fixed price. The application requires that the markup be the same for all items in a given category, so I am going to have to manipulate the cost to get it to do what I need. I have no problem figuring out the markup to use for the first product, but can't get my head around how I then calculate what the cost needs to be if I need to sell another item in the same category (therfore using the same markup levels) for a different price.

Here's an example (different price levels are for higher quantity purchases of the same item).

Product Cost: $1.75

Price Level 1: $8 (Markup 357%)
Price Level 2: $6 (Markup 243%)
Price Level 3: $4 (Markup 129%)
Price Level 4: $3.25 (Markup 86%)
