Mark as not junk by rule

DustWolf

Hello,

Is it possible to mark an email as "not junk" using a rule?

I need to mark all emails sent to an Exchange distribution list as not
junk and I don't see how I could do this using the Junk email
controls.

Thanks for the help.

Thta's done not by rules, but in Junk mail options:
Actions, Junk Mail, Junk Mail Options, Safe Recipients tab

You will note the part of my email, saying:
"and I don't see how I could do this using the Junk email

Messages sent within the organization should not be marked as junk. What
version of Outlook and Exchange do you use?

Yes, you did say that you didn't see how it could be done using Junk
controls. But just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it can't be done. I
showed you how.

Um, no you didn't. As far as I can tell, you can't put a DL in the Safe
Senders list.

Still happens, though. It occurs for me as well, although it's rare.

They are not actually sent within the organization, they originate
from the outside and are delivered to a distribution group.

We use Outlook 2003 and Exchange server 2003?

Ah. That explains it. I don't suppose they come from the same addresses all
the time, so you could white list the sender?

Put the group's address in the Safe Recipient's list.

Put the group's address in the Safe Recipient's list.

That field only accepts SMTP addresses. The distribution list, when
emails are recieved to it, has an X400 address. What do I enter?

It only works on smtp addresses - which the DL should have (if it's a GAL
based DL). Look at its properties

And what do these abbervations stand for?

Thanks.
