Mapping in a Profile

D

Devendra

Hello All,

My LAN consists of a Domain Server and its clients. There are shared folders
on the server for each user, which the user maps on the client login where
he/she logs in. How can I map these individual shares as per the concerned
login?

Eg:
Username: ABC
Username: XYZ

Shared on the server:
D:\ABC
D:\XYZ

If ABC logs in on any computer, his profile should automatically map the
server's \\ABC as his local X:\
and if XYZ logs in elsewhere, his profile should automatically map the
server's \\XYZ as his local X:\

Thanks in advance

In an Active Directory environment you have several choices available. One
would be to add the drive mappings to the user environment, another would be
to use a logon script to map the drives.
