Mapping error

Hello all

My problem: I am having intermittent connectivity failures
on randomn clients. From the client computer I get red X's
on all other network accessible folders. Additionally,
sometimes double clicking on these seemingly inaccessible
folders WILL let me access it - but this is not always the
case.

I have allevated this problem with Microsoft but have yet
to find anyone with a viable solution.

Is there anyone who has had this problem and a working
solution that I can at least attempt.

Regards

I have had a similar problem recently, and after a bit of
research I learned that in a mixed mode environment (e.g.
NT Server & Win2k Server replicating active directory, or
WINS)....Domain User profiles should not contain mapped
drives, or logon scripts to map drives that the client
machine is allready mapping via "net use" command. You
may recieve the error 58, or 53....Device allready in
use...or unavailable. "This mostly occurs on WINXP
clients"
