Mapping drives

Hi Everyone

Is there a way I can mount drives, for ALL users on clients, with local accounts? I have about 20 users in the office, and 20 machines. Since they can log into any machine, i need to create a local user account for each user on all the computers. The problem is, the server PW and the client PW is not syncronized.(This is not a Domain environment) Is there a way I can go around this, and mount the drives I need for all users, when they login? I was thinking of creating a "universal" acount "user" on the server, with PW "XYZ" and map as that user from all clients, which would kind of g around the pw sync. issue. Good idea, bad idea? And how would I make that happen for all users? I am on Windows XP and 2000 clients, mapping to a 2000 server. Thanks for all the help!

Any work-around that you could come up with is so not worth the time and
effort. Especially when you have a Windows 2000 Server already in-house. Its
hard for people to justify the purchase of a server OS in the first place,
but you have already done that. Why not take advantage of it? I highly
suggest you implement AD and setup a nice little domain for yourself. It
will make your administration of users & shares so much easier. Have a look
in the windows 2000 news groups for help on setting up AD if you don't know
how.
