Dear all
I have three computers with hard disks that are each partitioned into 4
partitions.
All the partitions are set to be shared over my peer-to-peer network.
Next I mapped the network drives on each computer, i.e. each computer has
its own 4 partitions + 8 mapped drives from the other 2 computers.
Now, when I open, e.g. MS Word, and then select 'file' -> 'new' and try to
browse to a file, I get a long pause after selecting the drop down. Is this
because I have so many drives mapped?........pretty sure everything was ok
before. I've also noticed that the computers have slowed down a lot
generally (e.g. double clicking on My Documents results in a long pause
before opening), again is this anything to do with having so many mapped
drives?
