This and other tablets are connected to a network
through a direct connection not through wireless
connections. All tablets seem to be experiencing the same
difficulty connecting to network drives at boot up.
The problem arises after the tablets have completed their
boot sequence and an application requiring the connection
to the network drive on an XP server is attempting to
open. The error message is from the application
indicating that the drive is not accessable yet this
network drive is set to connect on boot-up.
When I utilize WIndows Explorer and use this to open a
window to the network drive in question everything works
fine after this action is taken.
The question is WHY does this need to happen when all
other desktop systems connect properly to the same
network drive but the tablets need to have a manual
operation to occur before the application will work?
Again all the drives are mapped as connect on boot.
GATEWAY SUPPORT has been ineffective in providing a
solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
