Mapped drive doesn't remember password?!

Tried to map a drive on my XP Pro box, typed in the \\server\share , clicked
on
Reconnect, and entered a different username and password, using user:
server\user
When I hit OK, the mapped drive opens up, so obviously I entered the right
username and password...

Well, if I log off and back in again, it gives me an error not being able to
login to the mapped drive, and I have to re-enter the password over again...
every time..why doesn't it remember the password?!?

Make sure to have identical accounts / passwords defined on both boxes.
