I have an HP Photosmart all in one C7100 series which wont scan to e-mail. HP
say that my e-mail programme must be MAPI compliant-is Windows Mail MAPI
compliant?
Many Thanks

Yes, during the setup wizard in Windows Mail, you have the option of
selecting POP3 or MAPI.

Sorry to correct Andre, but you've mixed up MAPI and IMAP.

Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI)
Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP)

Windows Mail is MAPI compliant, and can use POP3 or IMAP accounts.

Asking the publishers of MYOB would likely be a good start.

Knowing what version of MYOB you're using will also help. You may need to
update it.

Patrick,
I'm using Accounting 17 which is very current. Is Windows mail MAPI
compliant or not?

Mike.

Go to Control Panel>>Programs>programs and Features>>Turn Windows Features
on/off and make sure Windows Meeting Space is turned on.

Yes, Windows Mail is MAPI compliant.

You should contact MYOB as they may be familiar with this as a configuration
issue specific to their implementation.

For example, they may be looking specifically for mapi.dll specifically in
the Windows folder, and in Vista, it may be elsewhere (and named mapi32.dll
or smapi.dll).
