Hello again Herbert,
Do you have an application running to monitor your motherboard? I've found
issues where the application Motherboard Monitor creates them when
refreshing a monitoring session each time you power up Windows.
Are you running a performance monitor application? If so, you may want to
shut it off. I understand that these are locked files, so you will have to
start your computer in a command prompt to delete them. Here's how:
When you boot up your system press F8 to get the Windows Advanced Options
Menu.
Select Safe Mode with command prompt
System may have you sign in if you've set up accounts on your systme, and
will boot to a DOS prompt instead of going to Windows.
In the command line, type "del %windir%\temp\perflib_perfdata*.dat" (w/o the
quotes) and press <ENTER>
Once the files are deleted, type "shutdown -f -r -t 0" to reboot.
After you've let Windows reboot (this time normally instead of Safe Mode),
the files should be deleted from your temp folder.
Please let me know if this helps!
