manually typing http://www or ctrl enter

i now have to manually type http://www or else yahoo.com
then ctrl enter to get there. before it simply needed
yahoo.com an enter or the go button

You can check these keys and edit them, if necessary, as follows:

alread tried. even deleted these entries rebooted
reentered rebooted an tried, same result anything else???

check to see if autocomplete is turned on.
Close Internet Explorer.
In the Control Panel, select Internet Options>Content..AutoComplete
Button.make sure Use Autocomplete for "web Addresses" is checked. Click OK
Ok.

Rule out parasites.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

and:

SpyBot-S&D
http://security.kolla.de/

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.
