Manual uninstall and add/remove programs

Hi: I have two questions:
1. I need to manually uninstall a program in XP. What are the steps?
2. I've removed a game from XP, but in add/remove programs, it's still
there. Is there a way to get rid of it?

Did you do the initial removal from add/remove programs applicatoin, or
did you just delete the files? If the latter, you may have re-install
the program, then un-install it (via add/remove programs) to get it to
"properly" un-install. I say "properly" since you are still depending
on quality of the un-install process written by the game developer.
(un-installing programs sometimes not a priority for developers and
companies).
