Manual insertion of signature in Outlook 2003

Both Outlook 2000 and 2003 allow you to create several different signatures
and choose one for automatic insertion in new/forward/reply emails. But
Outlook 2000 allowed you to add the signature after completing the email by
clicking Insert, signature and picking one from the list. Any way to do this
in Outlook 2003? Thanks.

It's the same in 2003. You must set up the accts and the signatures first.
Set up signatures in Tools, options, mail format, signatures. Set the default
signatures for accts to None and then choose when you compose email.
Note--you can't use Word as your editor for this to work. If you do use Word,
you must set up the signature in Word instead.

WordMail does not include an Insert | Signature command like the regular Outlook editor. If you want to be able to insert a signature into a WordMail message manually, you can create an AutoText entry for each signature. You can then insert them with the Insert | AutoText command.

Or, create multiple signatures the normal way (Tools | Options | Mail Format) and make one the default. If you want to use a different signature for the current message, right-click the signature that Outlook inserted automatically. From the pop-up menu, select either the name of the signature you want to use or E-mail Signature to create a new one. I personally prefer this technique. This is also the technique you need to use if you want Outlook 2003 to automatically change your signature when you switch accounts on an unsent message.

Thanks. I turned off MS Word as the editor and the signature returned to the
insert menu. I wanted to rate your post, but when I clicked Yes that it
answered my question, all I got was Thank You, no button for rating.

Even if you use Word as your email editor you can insert a signature
manually. First you have to create the message in Outlook, Tools>Options>Mail
Format, Sinatures. Choose "none" Than click "Signatures" button and select
the signature your have created, right click and copy. Open your Word email
editor (New email message) paste the signature and select it. On the Inser
Menue select AutoText > New. In the window that will open give a name and
click OK. Then in any message you compose you can select Insert > AutoText >
Email Signature and click the signature name. (You can create more than one
signature)
Hope I helped.
