Manipulating button images in a custom toolbar

Greetings:

I couldn't find an appropriate subcatagory for this question, so I put here.

I have a custom toolbar with about a dozen buttons on it. Each button has an
associated custom image. If I activate the "Customize" dialog box, right
click on one of these buttons and select "Change Button Image", I get a
little box of forty images, but none of my custom images is present. This
surprises me. I can edit a button image in place, and I can copy and paste
it to another button, but I can't disassociate it from the buttons and access
it as an icon pictore.

Is is possible to to this and, if so, how?

If it isn't possible, why not? Surely those little pictures exist
somewhere.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Right-click on any button and choose Copy Button Image. You can then paste
the image onto another button or anywhere else.

Okay. That worked fine. I can paste them to a picture editor and manipulate
them. that's great.

Now, is there a way to group them together so that they show up when "Change
Button Image" is selected, either instead of or in addition to the existing
batch of images?

Thanks again.

Thanks, Suzanne. I'm sure I'll find this useful.

Note that the selection (a) is for all of Office and (b) has a lot of empty
slots (presumably for expansion) and (c) is for a very old version (Word
2000?), so it doesn't include a lot of the buttons added more recently (and
may have old-fashioned icons even for existing ones).
