I think you are missing the point. Virus and malware attacks are usually
aimed at Windows as most people have it on their machines. Now that Apple
are starting to get a better hold, they are becomming bigger targets for
attack. It is now worth their while. If Apple were ever to overtake
Microsoft, they would be the ones under constant attack and Windows would
take a side line (relatively speaking). I think that is what the OP meant by
"It was only a matter of time".
