Making the WMM file into a valid WMP file?

I have 3 movies made with the WMM, I try and send them to friends and submit
them on a website. Is there any way to change the format of a WMM file into a
basic WMP file? I also cannot play the movies on my regular WMP. HELP!!

Are you sending the project (MSWMM) file instead of the movie? The saved
movies are WMV and should play in WMP.

MSWMM is the extension for Movie maker's project file which is not a movie.
it contains just the pointers to source media and the editing instructions
how to lay out a movie.

To save a movie in playable format, use menu File -> "Save MOVIE As"
or press key Ctrl-P
or use the "Save to my computer" under "Finish Movie" step on the left
hand task bar.

In the Save Movie wizard, first screen allows you to select a name for
the saved movie and the next screen is "Movie Settings". Click on "Show
more options..." and you will have all the different options to select.
